Almost all people love animals, especially animals that behave like humans.
You can read the whole story about Fabelskog in our book "The Flying Fox from Fabelskog" — the story of the brave little fox who became the first to travel into space from Norway.
Fabelskog is a strange fairy tale forest created by Anna and Kjell Erik Strøm, located somewhere in Norway.
A warm universe where animals live their adventurous lives—among imaginative flowers, trees, and a volcano.
The main character and heart of Fabelskog is a Kind Fox named Bjarne.
The friends he brings with him into the forest:
Slue Deer that are a bit grumpy, Dancing Birds that like to step,
an adventurous Beagle, Wild Sheep that scares the horns off deer,
a Singing Cow who likes to sing opera and a Fussy Squirrel who Bjarne really likes.
Anna Strøm's design expression in Fabelskog is inspired by retro-modernism from the 1960s and 70s.
It is a colourful and friendly expression, with simple shapes, clean lines and illustrations that tell stories. All of this is conveyed through Anna Strøm's fantastic illustrations.
You can also encounter Fabelskog through products for home and everyday life.
In porcelain cups and plates, bowls, tea towels, tablecloths, posters, cards, bags
It's a way to bring the warmth, character and atmosphere of Fabelskog into everyday life.
Welcome to Fabelskog!
